Doin’ It For The Kids— On October 24, ten chefs will gather at The Columns at One Commerce Square to create meaty dishes and raise money for various children’s charities. At the Meat Me in Memphis Gala, hosted by The Monogram Loves Kids Foundation, Monogram Foods meat products like bacon, sausage, hot dogs, beef jerky, and more get the spotlight. And chefs, (like FIX fave, Jimmy Gentry) get to raise money for the children’s charity most dear to them. “Special Olympics, March of Dimes, Salvation Army, Young Life and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are among the charities that will be featured at this year’s event.” We “heart” this. When You Like it Raw— It has been an inspiring journey for Hannah and Amy Pickle, the couple behind Raw Girls. Their cold-pressed juices, plant-based entrees, smoothies, elixirs and snacks have been a hit with healthy Memphis for years. Now, the duo is set to open a pop-up in Germantown along with partner City & State (coffee bar). Best of luck ladies. We still love the trucks. This Weekend— Mempho Music Fest is ON.
