What’s good Memphis? Greetings from FIX. When we’re not busy prepping and delivering meal experiences for our customers, we like to discover what’s new in the 901 food scene. FIX is for Memphis, by Memphis. In that spirit, we’re gonna keep it fresh, and local. Enjoy!
Killer Food Line-up— Mempho Music Fest, (Oct. 19-20, at Shelby Farms Park), is set to feature an amazing list of acts, from Brandi Carlile, to The Raconteurs, to Wu-Tang Clan. And while the performers are from all over, the food—from quick snacks to complete meals and desserts—is definitely going to be home grown. VIP attendees and Luxury Box ticket holders will even enjoy meals catered by FIX favorite, Chef Jimmy Gentry. Big(gs) List— Alton Brown once called Memphis the best food city in America. We know it’s a great place to be a restaurant reviewer. Jennifer Biggs over at Daily Memphian has put together her can’t miss list of upcoming Memphis Food Events. Don’t y’all love that we’re about to be in what she calls her “Danger Season?” Oh yeah, here come the holidays… Buttery Block— You might have missed the massive block party downtown last Saturday, but you can still celebrate. Makeda’s Cookies marked 20 years of delicious butter cookies with local food and live music. The cookies were named for the original owner’s daughter, Makeda Hill. Stop by and pick some up.
